Five on Friday

Am I the only one that thinks of the old school song 'I got five on it' everytime I see 'Five on Friday'?? LOL.

Anyways...I had so much fun last Friday linking up with The Good Life Blog, I decided to do it again!

1. I am LOVING Blake Shelton's 'Boys 'Round Here'! I may have listened to it a few million times already...today.

2. This sweet little face  had an allergic reaction to who knows what. She had the rosiest little cheeks on Tuesday. On top of that, she has a really bad cough! :( In my first time mom panic, I took her to the doctors and thankfully everything was A-OK just a little cold. She's still her same happy-silly little self aside from the cough. Hopefully she's 100% soon!

3. We have a night owl this week. I don't know if it's her little cold or what but she does not want to sleep, just play. She busted through her bedtime on Wednesday and stayed up until 10 and partied last night from 10-12! Sleepy is an understatement today. Thank you to whoever put in a Starbucks across the street from work!!!

4. I am looking forward to going home and drinking this Sangria from Costco! I have a looooong night ahead of me finishing up a graduation cake and cupcakes to feed 150! This is my biggest order yet. We'll be partying it up at the grad party tomorrow then it's all wedding photoshoot planning from Sunday until the big shoot next Sunday. So excited for what jem cakes has in store!

5. After Autumn goes to bed, instead of working on cake stuff, cleaning or anything else I have been sorting through the thousands of pictures I have of Autumn since she was born. I really wanted to print them out instead of letting them live in virtual land forever and I began that process a few days ago. I have 200 printed so far, plus whatever prints my MIL gives me. I already have 4 albums, eeek! I may need a whole room to store all her pictures. Every one is my favorite, I can't leave a single one out!
Who can resist 1500 prints of this cute face?! Not me!

Happy Weekend Ya'll!!!

33 Weeks and Memorial Day

Thank heaven for 3 day weekends! We had so much fun the last few days I just didn't want it to end, waaaa! I was off work early Friday and we started our weekend off right with dinner and bed by 8pm! That's right, 8! Folks, the sun wasn't even set. 'We were tired' is an understatement. I finally got in her 32 Week board too.

I couldn't resist the comparison...32 Weeks pregnant vs....

The rest of the weekend was busy with a run, a Memorial Day fest, errands, lots of lounging, a pool fail and ended with a BBQ.

There was this giant fest of all types of government services from firefighters to Swat teams. It was cool because they had a ton of their service vehicles, helicopters, etc. We had a good time walking around and talking to the different people and giving our thanks for their service. As always, Autumn and her wild hair were quite the hit. It's kind of crazy how much attention this little girl generates everywhere we go.

Laziest baby ever? Quite possibly. Instead of holding her bottle she laid it on the table.
I was SO excited to use the little pool I bought her. I got everything ready and we headed outside. One foot in the water and she was already screaming. It wasn't the warmest water but wasn't that bad. She hated it. I was sad. Oh well, we'll give it another try soon. We improvised and pulled up a chair next to the pool and shared a popsicle. I know, she should not be having popsicles but if you are eating something around her, she practically leaps into your mouth to get some. Watching her eat it was the cutest thing! She'd make a face then lick it and kept wanting more. Luckily they are healthy popsicles from Costco so I didn't mind sharing. We shared our popsicle just long enough to finish it before we were chased out by a pesky bee. I hate bee's! It was a short lived pool experience.

Yup, that's a waterless pool.
Practicing her swimsuit modeling

I have been wanting to print out the thousands (literally!) of pictures I have of Autumn since she was born. They are all just living on my computer and phone and not a single one has been printed out by me. I FINALLY  got around to just sorting through the pictures to eliminate the 10 blurry pics I take to get one good one. I found some photo albums at Costco for a great price and they came with 100 free prints! I'm only through St. Patricks day and have about 700 pictures to print! Every.single.one. is my favorite and I just can't NOT print them all. I may need a second job to pay for the printing of all these and a small library to store all the albums! HA! It'll so be worth it when I'm done!

I am such a sap...as I was browsing through all the pics I was crying like a baby looking at my baby turn into a big girl. How can it be that just 8 short months ago she was just a wee little peanut and now she has pigtails?! I miss those early days and long nights. They were the very hardest days of my life but also the most rewarding. It's so bittersweet to remember her being so tiny but then experiencing all the exciting stuff she is doing and that is yet to come. We may need another baby soon so I can stop my yearning for a teeny baby. Hello baby #2 fever?! We have been talking about it and we're both kind of wanting another, someday. But on the other hand, I want to give Autumn all our attention for a while longer. I guess we'll leave it up to the big man upstairs to decide when/if we're blessed with another...

In the meantime, I will soak up every second with this little ham! And now for some picture overload...
She wants to crawl so badly!
She LOVES her riding buddy!

Someone told me that Autumn has a happy soul...I could not agree more! Such a happy baby.

Autumn was busy, busy, busy yesterday and would not stay still for me to take a pic. She was leaning forward, squealing and then discovered there was a chalkboard behind her. A chalkboard with fun chalk that could be smeared all over. She kept running her fingers all over the chalkboard then laughing, LOL. Finally I got her to sit up, look at me and smile by putting my hair into a high pony and fake sneezing for her! I'm soooo in love with this little girl, she just makes my heart explode!
33 Week baby girl!
Last, but certainly not least, we were so thankful yesterday (and everyday) for our service men and women. We have a lot of family who have served, past and present, and have seen first hand the sacrifices they give to preserve our freedom. Freedom is never free. Many thanks to those who serve!

5 on Friday

I recently found Darci at The Good Life Blog and it's the cutest! So I decided to link up and share my 5 on Friday....

1. I wish it was last Friday again because I went to the Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley concert with my momma. Let me just say, it was AWESOME! It was also my first evening away from the babe for some fun and I may have had one too many bottles of fun :/ slow down cowgirl!

2. We celebrated Ernest's 30th Birthday on Tuesday, wootwoot! Holy hell, I still can't believe he's 30! I've always wanted to date and older man, haha...at least for a few more months. We took Autumn to our favorite sushi place for the first time. We had so much fun and like usual, the sushi was amazing.
I always drop plates! Time for some new ones asap, maybe plastic...

He was SO embarrassed here after they played THE loudest Japanese song and brought out fried ice cream! Naturally I had to snap a pic!
3. I bought this pool for Autumn last week and was so stoked to use it last weekend. Unfortunately, the weather was hit or miss this week so we improvised by playing with the pool inside. The upcoming forecast is nothing but sunshine! Bust out the pool, sunscreen and beers for this long weekend!

4. The house hunt is in full force! We made an offer on our dream home this week, fingers crossed we get it! The house is a major fixer-upper but we have big plans to make it ours. While we wait impatiently, I'm pinning inspiration shots to my board For The Home. I have a million billion ideas!
I'm obsessed with these gray walls, dark floors and white trim!
5. While on Pinterest I've also been tracking down cute ideas for Autumn's first birthday and photoshoot, which will be here in 4 short months. GASP! It's a good thing we have four months because I cannot decide how I want to do her party, I just know I want to do it up BIG!

Happy Memorial Day!

Diaper Bag Survival

Since we are venturing out a lot more with Autumn (finally), we have to be way more organized with the diaper bag and make sure we have all our must haves in check. There's nothing worse than being in a restaurant with a screaming baby and you realize you forgot ____.

I LOVE my Lululemon 'diaper bag' which I got for Mothers Day! It fits everything we need just perfectly and I've also been using it as an everyday bag since its so cute.

We absolutely do not leave the house without:
Patemm Diaper Changer: This was a gift from a friend (thanks Tara!) and what a lifesaver it's been! We take this thing everywhere! It's super convenient because you can stuff the pockets full of diapers and wipes then fold it up and your good to go. It's also saved many a bedspreads, couches, floors from inevitable messes. It's also a great protector to the littles bum from less than clean changing tables. The material is cleanable too. A staple anywhere we go!

Happy Puffs: Autumn LOVES these things! She gets super excited whenever she has a pile of them in front of her. Half usually end up in her hair, stuck to her face, trapped in her slobbery hands or glued to her chubby little thighs. But the one out of ten she does get into her mouth make her so happy! They've really helped her hand-eye coordination too.

Face and Hand Wipes: which should really be called 'Face, hand, gross table, gross highchair, OMG did you just drop that on the floor wipes'. These things are a life saver and we seriously go through a pack a week.

Sophie the Giraffe: The squeaker on this can stop the fussiest baby in her tracks. A few squeaks and she's forgotten she's pissed off because Dad accidentally let her bonk her head on the table. Sophie goes with us everywhere!

Organic Bibs: Why organic? Because the fabric feels like heaven so when the babe decides to wipe her sweet potatoes all over her pretty little face, it'll be like a mini facial. Bibs are absolutely necessary for us and they might as well look cute and function well.

Beaba Spoons: I usually have a few of these floating in my bag (even when I don't have the baby) because they're so handy. I love these spoons because they have an adult sized handle instead of those puny ones that make you feel like a giant holding a spoon. Autumn loves them too and the design and colors are great.

Beaba stackable containers: these are perfect for stashing her HappyPuffs, formula and some almonds for the momma. They're a perfect size and can easily be thrown into the bag.

The Honest Company Hand Sanitizer: If you ever leave the house with a baby, you will realize just how gross things can get (dirty diapers, door handles, changing tables, etc). I hate the smell of regular hand sani so this one is great. Smells good, works and doesn't have all the chemicals of the regular stuff.

Sunscreen: This little girl is part porcelain doll so when we decide to take an impromptu trip to the park, having sunscreen on hand is tre importante. Right now we have this Aveeno Baby Sunscreen
and it works well. However, I've been eying The Honest Companies Sunscreen because zinc oxide is the only active ingredient! Aka, it's super safe for the babe.

Chair Cover: Ok, so this doesn't exactly fit into the diaper bag but I usually have it in the car ready to go. I love knowing Autumn is protected from the last kids drool covered hands with this bad boy. I may look like a fool trying to get it onto the cart just right but it's well worth the hassle.

Now, you can't forget the momma...I never leave the house without some lip gloss. This is my absolute fave Lip Gloss! It has great color, a super soft applicator and keeps my lips moist for a while. My hair may be a hot mess, my yoga pants from three days ago may have baby food all over them but my lips look fab! HA!

These are our absolute must haves to any outing, not to mention all the usual stuff like diapers, bottles, cell phone, camera, your sanity. But seriously, we'd be lost without these things! How did our mothers do it so many years ago?!

We do own a brush for her. Seriously.
