A Typical Week Day

It seems like the weeks just keep flying by lately. Before I know it, we're already at Thursday and I'm left thinking 'where did the week go?'. I always like seeing how other people do their day to day and thought I'd share a typical day for us.
I need to start taking more pictures because I barely have any from the last few weeks! Sad!
5:30 5:45
I wake up (after hitting the snooze button way too many times) and get ready for the day. The rest of the house is still sleeping so I catch up on my Netflix marathons of good bad TV, currently that's Grey's Anatomy.

If I'm lucky, I'm heading out the door and everyone is still asleep. Lets be real though, I'm usually scrambling to leave at 6:47! Sometimes Jack will get up to tell me goodbye.

Ernest is either getting Autumn ready to head to Grandma's house or they're watching cartoons in bed and eating waffles (gross, I know) while they wait for either my mom, Gigi, other Grandma or Auntie Allison to get there so he can get ready and out the door.

I'm at work. I'll usually go run errands at lunch, work on Etsy stuff and occasionally grab lunch with a friend. During this time Autumn is either at our house with family where they mostly play outside all day long, go for walks, play with toys, color and harass poor Jack.

I'm home, exhausted and hot. I change and check the mail while I still have some extra hands. Then it's time to play for a while. We'll usually play with her toys or go outside. If it were Autumn's choice, we would probably live outside! I'll sometimes do a little picking up, laundry or we'll take a trip to Target/Whole Foods/park just to get out. Although, once I'm home, Autumn does not let me out of her sight...or her arms. She says 'I hold you' for me to hold her. Melt my heart! How can you say no to that?! Really, between 4:30-7:30 all the other 'stuff' gets pushed to the side and it's all about my girl.
That's sand from the sandbox! It's like the beach

Make Autumns dinner and hope she eats something from her plate. We've hit another food roadblock :/ I'll start our dinner which is currently something thrown on the grill. I love grilling season! I keep dinner super simple and make a meal plan the weekend before so I don't have to think about it.

Ernest's schedule is pretty unpredictable so, if he's home, we'll start eating around this time. If not, I'll eat so that Autumn will pick off my plate (funny how Mom's plate of food tastes so much better!). Then it's off for tons of splashes in the bath, getting ready for bed, reading a book or a few and winding down before bedtime.

If Ernest is home (seriously hate his work schedule!) he'll put Autumn down for bed. If not, I'll start and he usually gets home to spend a few minutes with her before it's off to sleepy land.

I'll workout while Ernest puts Autumn to bed and start his dinner if we're grilling. I'm a huge fan of the CrockPot so if dinner is already done, that's a total win!

Pack breakfast/lunch for all of us, prep dinner for the next day and dream about a bottomless margarita. Then it's off to the shower so I don't smell like a frat boy post workout.
We finally have a chance to relax, catchup and watch some TV. I'll also work on Etsy stuff, plot my escape from work and we'll pickup the playroom (which looks like a tornado hit!) while Ernest watches re-runs of Top Gear. There's still a million things to do but I force myself to bed way later than I should.

Our days are crazy and filled to the brim, but those magical hours between 4 til bedtime make all the craziness worth it! Having two full time working parents is no joke! There is no way on this earth we could do it without our amazing family! They are the key to making all this work...and coffee, lots and lots of coffee!

I have some VERY exciting stuff coming up for Bunny Autumn! Keep a lookout later this week for the good news!

Catching Up

To say things have been crazy would be the understatement of the year! I've basically been tied to my desk at work, working on lots of exciting stuff for my Etsy shop, taking care of our sick pup, doing lots of summer things and chasing after one busy toddler! The best way to catch up (without boring you to tears) is through pictures...
Our new family member, Guppy (the blue betta, not Nemo or as Autumn says 'Nino'). Autumn is in LOVE with him, both of them! We hear 'I see' at least 800 times a day :)
He is the sweetest, friendliest little fish :)

Ernest and I had a night out at the UFC fights with a little BBQ before. Too much fun!
Chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches. Game changer.
Lots of pool time. Sometime you are too excited to wait for swimsuits!

Our sick little baby Jack :( He gave us quite the scare last week but is doing much better and hopefully on the road to a full recovery.

Swimsuits are best worn over clothes. Water not necessary.

Trying everything to get me thru work deadlines. Cold brew coffee is where it's at. Ok, I love any coffee!
Dancing in the rain.
Enjoying some antique shopping and the Farmer's Market
Taking Selfies...
And more selfies
Feeding the baby cow. She is the sweetest thing EVER! I wish we could take her home and she'd be little forever.
Watching the train go by and celebrating our main squeeze for Fathers Day. We love him to the moon!
There you have it, pretty much sums up the last couple weeks in a nutshell! Hopefully things slow down so we can enjoy more lazy days of summer, sigh.

20 Months and Little Miss Sassy Pants

Oh our girl, she is quite the firecracker!
31 inches. She seems a lot taller and like she's growing by the minute!

Why oh why isn't there a size between 18 and 24 months?! She is still in 18 month clothes because 24 month clothes hang off of her. We could really use a 21 month size, just sayin. She moved up to a size 5 shoe. Baby big foot!

Like a champ! Back to her regular 8pm-7am schedule. Naps on the otherhand are pretty hit or miss. She needs two naps a day but hates to miss anything and will fight them as much as possible. It's a constant battle.

Great! She has been super hungry and eating everything in sight...including some chicken and hot dogs! She even had some pork roast the other day. Last night we had a rotisserie chicken and she ate half my plate and wanted 'mo, mo'. She is still picky for most things but is slowly venturing out.
10 teeth including 3 molars. She loves brushing her teeth, to the point where we have to hide our toothbrushes or she'll try getting them and gets pissed when we veto her.

Aside from the red velvet cake mishaps, she's been really healthy this month. Although, we are still battling severe diaper rash every few days. She definitely cannot have anything acidic especially tomatoes, strawberries or citrus fruit. Poor babes stomach just can't handle it.We need to prepare for potty training sooner than later.

oh wow, that's mine, come here Jack!, right there, where'd it go?, mama, n daddy, n elmo, n jack yay, 'awwwww' if she see's an animal, Jack or a baby, 'bebe, bebe, bebe', pointing her finger at you and saying 'now!'

Our little gal is one sassy pants! She's super bossy with Jack and will rest her hands on her knee's, clap and say 'come Jack'. Wonder where she gets that from? :/ If she doesn't get her way we are sure to know about it. So on one hand she is very strong willed and determined but when we're in new situations she's very quiet and shy. Just like Ernest and I...he's very outgoing and I can be quite shy. She is also such a caring little girl. She holds her baby, says shhhh and rocks her.
She's also been taking care of the 'bebe' calf and just loves her so much!

the baby cow (who remains nameless). She loves petting her, feeding her and yelling at her. Poor cow.
Pools, wa-wa, popsicles, and pulling out everything from my vanity and putting ALL my jewelry on.

My family from Colorado came to visit a few weekends ago and they brought their dog Sasha. She is the friendliest, sweetest, cutest little Pomeranian you ever met. Autumn fell in love with her! So every dog we see now is 'Shasha'. Including the little poodles on her jammies!
Being outside is her favorite and so is swinging
She still loves when we whisper secrets to her and has now started to tell us secrets. She'll go 'pspspspspsps bubble'. LOL!
When we say 'all gone' or 'no more'.  Taking naps. When we try to help her with something. She is little miss independent!
This picture reminds me of Kim Kardashian's crying face! Hahaha

This kid cracks up us, keeps us on our toes and kills us with her cuteness. This stage/age has been incredibly fun! We're looking forward to some pool time and car washing time tonight, UFC Fight Night for us tomorrow and family time on Sunday!

Summer Is Here!

We had some H O T weather this weekend? We survived it the best way we know how...lots of time outdoors, Popsicles and pool time.
Autumn had a birthday party to attend on Saturday afternoon. She refused her morning nap but naturally passed out as soon as we got in the car. When we got to the party she was still sleepy and being really shy. She usually is shy and quiet in new situations but eventually pulls out of it. Not this day. Finally when we were getting ready to leave, she warmed up to an adorable girl who was the same age. Watching kids 'play together' is so funny!
She was tuckered out after the party. While she napped, I setup her little pool we picked up from Target. She could not get enough of it! I had to pull her out to eat dinner at 6pm and she was not happy about it.
After struggling to pull Autumns swimsuit on and off, she needed a new one. I hitup Old Navy and they were having a great sale! I ended up finding her 3 swimsuits (all under $6!), a romper and some flip flops for $24! Score! It was a good thing we had extra swimsuits...
Autumn has had another bout of horrible diaper rash. I'm guessing the culprit was too much fruit on Saturday which caused it. Anyhow, I decided to let her air out in the pool sans diaper. Big mistake. My dad spotted the full bottoms and sure enough...yuck! I won't be making that mistake again!! OH wait, except I did...I figured since she already did business she'd be good. Until she was playing with some toys outside of the pool and left a giant puddle! Such a country girl! The hose did the job this time! I think we need to start thinking about potty training soon...
Once we recovered, we had some homemade popsicles. I just blended some strawberries, coconut milk and OJ. They were so good! Next up is pineapple, banana and coconut milk. Like a tropical vacation in your mouth!

After Autumn was done napping, we went to dinner and she was one hungry little guppy! Between bites she was busy waving hello to everyone around us! Literally everyone! Once we were home, it was off to bed for her and our standard 'get ready for the week' stuff. Back to the grind!
Happy Week Everyone!
Pizza and ice cream. Totally normal.
